Christmas

Merry Christmas! Despite the blizzard, we were still able to make it to Church on Christmas Eve and to Mary's house to celebrate with our family. Sal was such a treat this Christmas and really appreciated Mommy's decorations, saying "ohhh Pretty" and wanting the lights on all the time. The Valera family on Christmas Eve

Sal was worn out from running around with cousin George but managed to open gifts anyway!
Grandpa and Grandma spoiled Sal with a ride-on train - when he got on and pressed the button he exclaimed "it's working!"
Santa brought Sal a train crossing - we have a lot of fun with this!
Sal on Christmas morning riding his train with the fire truck in back. When he woke up Christmas morning he asked where his firetruck was and then talked about the working train. So cute, it took a while to get him to open his Santa gifts!

A few days after Christmas, Sal is enjoying some of his Christmas toys.

It was a very Thomas Christmas!

December Fun

December turned out to be quite a month...we attempted to visit Santa, celebrated Aunt Ronnie's 40th Birthday, said goodbye to Sal's beloved Great Grandma Ruth, enjoyed some vacation time with Daddy and got ready for Christmas.
Sal in his Christmas sweater on the way to see Santa at Sprint. This did not go well, no picture was taken. I personally think Sal remembers this guy took his binkie when he was 4 months old...since there are no pics with Santa here's some with Mom and Dad before the tears started.

While Mommy snuck off to lunch at Andre's, Dad treated Sal to some "train spotting" on the way home from visiting Santa.

Sal's Godparents are 1/3 K-State - the other 2/3 are KU. Here is Sal sporting his purple!

Sal enjoyed lunch out to celebrate Christmas with Aunt Jeanine - he loves chips!

Aunt Mare Mare and Uncle Paul came over for dinner before Christmas - cheese!Uncle Paul put Sal in his shopping cart and drove him around - Sal loved it but has been told that "only Uncle Paul knows how to do that"Cutest Daddy and Sal picture! The googlie eyes that Aunt Mare gave Sal two years ago still come back every once in a while, he made us nervous when he climbed the stairs with them on!

Trains and Counting

This is one of our favorite videos taken by Daddy during while he and Sal were "looking for trains" on the way home. We do this a lot but Herley was clever enough to record it.

Thanksgiving

We enjoyed seeing all of our family on Thanksgiving and it was a fun-filled weekend with lots of food, shopping and family!

Before dinner on Thanksgiving Day, the guys were all outside throwing balls in the tree to amuse the little boys. Two got stuck in the tree and here was Daddy's attempt to go after it...oh my!

Sal enjoyed some tv time with Uncle Paul over the weekend.
Sal loves when cousin Chance comes to visit - he's a great source of entertainment! Here's Chance snuggled up with Sal and George having snacks and a show!

Something to be Thankful For

The evening before Thanksgiving we were lucky to get to catch a quick visit with the Folster's on their way from Louisiana to Topeka. Sarah is Sal's first friend and the two quickly caught up! Hello Hugs! Melt their Mommy's hearts!

So happy to be together again!

See you soon hugs!

A little bir of November

I find myself playing blog catchup again - I didn't even load pictures until mid-December. Now that we are snowed in again perhaps I'll get the job done! We continue to have so much fun watching Sal grow into a little boy. He's talking up a storm and full of energy!
Who doesn't love chocolate pudding?
Lots of fun with the leaves - and we have plenty still on the trees! Here Sal is saying "I hear a train"
