A day with Grandpa

Sal took Grandpa to Deanna Rose Farmstead for the first time today...Grandpa knew everything about all of the old farm equipment and shared lots of fun stories! They had a great time together - even though the weather wasn't quite as cool as Mommy promised! We're sure to take Grandpa again!

Almost

This picture cracks me up - Sal loves to play in the pantry when his Mom isn't smart enough to lock it and here he is on his tippy toes trying to reach spices - not sure what he was going to make with cinnamon, garlic, onion powder and peppercorns...

Walking Man

We are so excited! Salvador took his first three steps for both Mommy and Daddy to see on Tuesday night. What is remarkable too is that it was the one hour we were both home - Herley had just gotten home and I was getting ready to go to work. We have yet to catch it on video but here are the victory pictures we took after - Sal wasn't sure what all the hoopla was about!

13 Months

Sal is now 13 months and we are thrilled to report that all four of his one year molars are now through! We aren't walking yet but are still pretty close...I wonder how long I'll be saying that! Sal is now giving more kisses than ever - Daddy finally got his first kiss and so did Grandpa Ron - both were quite happy!
Sal made a trip to St. Joseph to visit Aunt Angie to celebrate her birthday. Here he is giving her five which is another thing Sal has learned lately.
Sal picked out this bear at Sam's the other day....he loves to "get bear" and often lays down on him for a rest. Best $20 I've spent in a long time!

Sal is showing off his new sippy cups without handles - he's already drinking from them like a pro!
Sal loves grilled cheese and Mommy decided it was time to eat it the right way - with ketchup - this week. He really liked the ketchup but had it everywhere - even his ear!

Odds and Ends

Sal and Sarah enjoyed a play and lunch date today - they have both grown and changed so much in all the months they have been playing together!
Sal loves his fireman duck spout cover - he has also developed a love of fire hydrants and we must stop to greet each of them when we go for walks! It always makes me think of our good friends Pam and George since George is a fireman.
Mommy finally let Salvador out of his baby bath seat and he gets to be free in the tub! Super fun for Sal. Where did my baby go?
Salvador helped throw a surprise birthday party for Aunt Mary, here's a rare picture of the twins, our sweeties and Sal all together.

Labor Day Weekend

The lazy days of summer are almost gone, here my boys are enjoying an afternoon nap while I had a pedicure!
Daddy and Sal after lunch at Deanna Rose - it's quickly become a family favorite!
One more trip to the pool with Aunt Mary and Uncle Paul - boy, Sal has a rough life!
